not dead yet sorry for the long silence have been out of touch for a bit
translation is nearly complete just having a few tech difficulties creating a working patch
due to file size incompatability

anyway this started as a personal project (note the title of topic = help needed)
but ppl asked if i was gonna do a patch. still am only working on this when i have time/ feel like it
also this is my first translation so am learning as i go along which always slows things down

for those of you who actually want a patch for this game i ask for your patience
i will not be rushed

If you need help creating a patch, I've got a working drag-and-drop method set up. The strings in this game are so easy to edit, I went ahead and threw together a demo patch for the people who don't like waiting. Translates Items/Skills and new character questions only.

No, that was just something I did to try it out for myself. I don't want to make a habit of usurping other people's projects, especially not if they're almost done. Plus, I'm pretty busy with Soma Bringer.

I did find some of the script files for this game using hexecute, but the translation wouldn't fit properly, also most of teh menus need to have the graphics edited, and I don't know how to do that as yet.

Using a hex editor? Dude, they're in plaintext SJS, with names like "queen.txt":

I found the NPC script tried to input Phinea the flower girl in from your translation on Gamefaqs, but it was either just to short, and wouldn't go on the the second set of text after speaking with her.

Don't bet on it...Valyr might have had sexchange and is selling his body somewhere in Thailand. That, or he's just nolonger interested. More than a month of offline-ness usually shows neglect.
