And yes, there's a nifty "Report" button. It's quite useful.

It's probably impossible to use mp3's but it would work with low quality mp2's (thats pretty much what GH:OT uses)
I'll give directions for converting soon

Am I the only person who don't understand every single word that comes out from your computer? I mean please can talk little slower so the noobs(me) can understand a little bit?

Did you enable the DMA mode with Fret Fury ?

Sorry.
OK basically in order to play mp3 files on any thing that plays them, the computer inside must decode the mp3 into a decompressed format. Mp3 is a high quality encoding, however. And it's impossible to decode a "frame" of the song (which is how it is decoded) in 1/60 of a second along with all the other game code running. I only have 1/60 of a second because that is how my timer is working. If the encoding is lower quality, though, than it will take less power and time to decode, which is what I need. This is what GH:OT does, BTW.

I have decided, at least for now, to use 32khz frequency and 64kbps mp2 audio.
How do you convert mp3 to this format easily? Start by downloading SUPER (and it's hard to find the DL link, so I'll help) http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html
Scroll Down to here .-.-.http://uploads.screenshot-program.com/my.p...l9429486171.jpg.-.-.

If you are using Vista you have to Right-Click run-as Admin. And unfortunately this is only for windows users (I'll find a mac alternative soon)
Open SUPER:
Choose These Options:

Can anyone help me find the:
Guitar Fun Source Code: .chart playing (I probably don't need this, but it could help)
MOONSHELL SOURCE CODE: Moonshell uses mp2 audio. I need to use the audio streaming code from Moonshell. It is OpenSource which means the source code should exist somewhere on the internet.

Musturd, is the ARM7 being used for anything? Tuna-viDS shows that one can handle even stereo mp3 files on the ARM7 alone if needed, leaving the ARM9 for the rest of the game-playing.

Just putting the thought out there. It would probably be rather difficult to support non-converted audio files, whatever the final format.

I was going to try and use the ARM7 for sound.
Someone at gbadev told me that there is some lag and skipping involved with high bitrate mp3s, but who knows?

Yeah, i tried openning it for both DMA on & off. I still get the same error. Do you think it has something to do with my DSTT cart? or maybe because that I am using SDHC? or it doesn't matter?

Musturd, you are now one of my gods^^
If you have any French franslation t do i'm here^^
Thanks.
I'm not the leader of the project, but I'm sure we'll eventually want a french translation.

Well, most of the charts you get off of fretsonfire.com or any other site usually have .ogg files. So using .mp2/mp3 would cause problems with converting. People are lazy(most of them I know) and wouldn't want to have to convert it each time. And I know there are people who WILL use the medium only songs, or easy, so don't complain about them not using it because of five frets.

Just saying something.

... Well ... try downloading the file again ... and install (again) the last kernel of DSTT ... if it still freezing, i've no idea sorry :s

Hi. I'm only gonna be here for a little while, so I'm just gonna say what I think. I agree with alex. We should use .ogg files if possible. The files are smaller, easy to convert to if needed, and the quality is just fine.

@anyone who posts charts
Please do NOT post any song files with your chart. I don't want this project to get shut down, because it encourages file sharing. Just post your charts, people will get the songs they need by their own means.

If I need to draw anything, please tell me now. I will only be here for the next hour (working the night shift again).
