You know, did you guys use Frets on Fire, you can create it in real time! Like just let it play and put the music on and play to the rhythm!

That's what I do anyways.

Oops. I guess I did get the 700th post. In that case, YAY!

@anyone who will listen
I have got literally nothing to draw for the game. I have to go to work in a little while, so I would like to make at least something before I go. Please tell me what I need to make. Thanks.

I will eventually get the changing BPM support, but for now it will just be one speed per song...

ANY LIBNDS PROGRAMMERS THAT READ THIS:
Can someone tell me what the time() function returns? How fast is it (roughly how many clock cycles to run it)? Would it be fast enough to grab a time every hundredth of a second and subtract from a previous time? Thanks.

Held notes?

@Mohammad
I'm just making charts. I have no idea how it's gonna work.

@Moonlite
Try changing the BPM before charting. If you want to, I can fix the chart you made.

For everyone who is charting:
I'm going to try to support all distances of notes (1/4, 1/8, etc.) ALL even something weird like 4/5 notes

I'm going to try to use the milliseconds of the notes in the song but use it to a hundredth of a second. So everything will round to a hundredth of a second (but no one can tell)

OK a VBlank is 16.7 ms.
I have to figure out how to convert BPM to ms and the movement of the frets etc.

Say BPM = 120
Beats per 16.7 ms = 119.76

Just kidding forgot about movement part...

every vblank +1 pixels? Nope too fast.
every 10 vblanks +1 pixels? Maybe.
wait it needs the BPVBlank somewhere in the equation... AGH

What do you guys think?
