hi, i've formatted my usb drive from ntfs to wbfs. all my important files were in there. is there anyway to take them back. i used recover my files. it recovers without actual folders and file names. like recovered file.jpg. is there any better software you recommend. it took only a second to format so i think files are still there. please help!

It only took a second to format? Did you actually apply the changes? If you didn't then nothing would be lost, of course.

If it is formatted, though, recovering data is pretty hard. You can try Restorer Ultimate.

But before any crappy recovery software use testdisk. If it works your disc will work as before formatting without restoring Gigabyte of data.

1 second to destroy, 1 minute to recover... how come destroying something always goes much faster than recovering the destroyed stuff?
