DISCLAIMER: this thread isn't about whether you like this font or not. That is a separate issue that will be considered later (in the future we might either change the font or allow people to use a customized font, but that isn't the issue here, thank you for respecting that :) )

During development we realized that the fonts we use for title boxes looks aliased in Firefox and Internet Explorer on Windows.

The font is called "News Cycle".

Here is the difference between Google Chrome and Firefox, on Windows 8.1 64 bit

look at the "3DS" on the Firefox image for example.

I've been told the problem doesn't occur under Linux or Mac OS, which could mean it's a Windows specific issue?

If anyone has an immediate solution I'm all ears!

Yeah I noticed that (FF+ W7 here). Honestly, I thought it was some sort of funky "wet ink" font. :P
The illusion is spoiled now. XD

This is Window's font renderer's fault. Mac and Linux distros have superior renderers so they look fine.
Chrome uses its own renderer.

Current system I am running is Chakra OS, I can test this on other distros/OSes if needed.

So it seems you might be right about it being a Windows related issue

On the the topic of fonts, I was poking around a bit when I found a minor font bug

And it does not have the same results on Firefox (latest)
