Fake? hmmz not sure if you think the same after a week or 2, its a very simple process so i dont think this is fake at all.
I would rather say> good idea, cant wait to use it cause i hate the wii drive, its the weakest part of the wii and im glad some found a solution like this, great!

Now if they make wads install_able on sd cards also i will be double happy

Good day!

So its a Drive emu really

Very good

what i was going to say is how can this work without shorting the switches or sens the opto on the drive board

can software be really that good?

i am ready to see something soon! i already keep my backups on a 500gb HD and have 2 more 500gb HDs ready to be filled.

I have been staying on the Wii sidelines for a while. If this is real, inexpensive, and carried by a trueworthy dealer like DealExtreme, I will buy one for sure.

I, for one, have my laptop on 24/7 and it is right next to my Wii so I don't see any problem with it. On the contrary, I HATE having to burn disks to find out they don't work, get scratched, and having to buy more discs. I also have an empty 400GB drive and this makes things a lot easier for me

.

This is what they need to do:

1) Send GBATemp a review sample
2) Provide more info about price, resellers, etc
3) Send a boatload to Dealextreme to sell

???Profit

1. they dont need to do that - they will not be able to keep up with production for a while, they have already told us this.
2. calm down, it just started
3. bah, if you want to wait a month to get stock, keep refreshing their page

for a second there i thought you said DX were trustworthy.

even if this is real sales will be pretty low due to softmods. look how many people are too tight to buy a current modchip or even a copy of zelda.

I would prefer a hdd enclosure with an lcd screen that lists the games even if its more expensive the idea seems great for those that live in a bedroom or have a wii close to pc for dev reasons for the majority its more hassle than a standard chip.

this device will be the bringer of hugely compressed iso's and in all honesty does the wii really have that many games that are worth piling up on a huge hdd.

Agreed. I hope the compression on Wii games progresses.

As for an LCD screen, I think that's taking it a little too far. I don't mind loading games off of my PC, especially if I don't have to hear that DVD-ROM seeking

QUOTEWe are a reseller of any wii modification device that is popular

they said the ETA is just over a week to begin shipping to resellers - but then again this kinda stuff usually gets delayed a little when people start pumpng orders in.

So about 2 weeks for first shipments to be received by stores. Obviously, most won't buy it until GBATemp or someone credible has reviewed it.

you still hear the drive ejecting and what not check the last vid posted.

I really hope this doesn't increase iso compression i would rather have 3TB of dummy data than rape the iso's

You still didn't get it?
