i almost thought of doing this but i will get annoyed like others might opening my pc just to play wii. also i don't really have the memory to hold a lot wii games and it wastes extra electricity by opening a computer just to play wii.

My laptop's hard drive isn't all that big, but I assume that this would work fine if I had an external hard drive plugged in to it, or could transferring data from the external hard drive, to the comp, and then to the Wii be problematic?
And also, would it work with an external hard drive plugged directly into the Wii?

I know you can't hook up an external HDD directly to the FlatMii to stream images, but can you use it as a normal modchip and load images off the DVD drive?
I have an older Cyclowiz in my wii which has outdated firmware on it so i cant play newer games and i would love to take it out and replace it with this device and use it as a normal modchip and then just hook it up to my PC to update as needed.
I haven't updated my Cyclowiz cause i have to resolder the update switch and i'm afraid of it getting bricked.![]()
