Hi,

I'm interested in buying a Gateway or Sky3ds.
Is there any FlashCart that has a low chance of getting bricked?
I currently have a Normal 3DS on 9.5.0-23.
Does Gateway support the New 3DS yet?
Any other suggestions beside SKY3DS or Gateway?
I'm willing to buy a N3DS if Gateway works on it.
Wouldn't SKY3DS be better because it can run on any firmware?

Thanks.

Well, what are you looking for in a flash cart exactly, aside from it working on the New 3DS? Do you want to be able to run undubs, homebrew, and CIA/custom virtual console/dumped eshop games? If so, Gateway will suit you well (but it will not run on 9.5.0-23, your current firmware). If you just want a straight-forward cart to play games on (no dumped eshop/custom VC/CIA, homebrew, or undubs), then Sky3DS is probably more up your alley. Gateway is more "powerful" so to speak, but it's not as simple to use, and it only works on 3DSes up to 9.2.0-20 firmware. Sky3DS is simpler but works on every firmware up to 9.5.0-23 so far (and is your only option if you want to use it on your current 3DS).

Thanks everyone.
I would probably just play games off of it.
I might possibly try to inject pokemon but I know that is only possible with Gateway 3DS.
As I said, I'm willing to get a N3DS if Gateway can actually run it.
I've heard you can get banned off of online play, is this true?
Both can run Eshop games and get updates, Correct?

Yes, Gateway runs on the New 3DS, up to 9.2.0-20, but you currently require a copy of Ocarina of Time 3D (must be the same region as your New 3DS's) to run an exploit every time you want to boot it.

I just checked and if I wanted to get a Gateway and N3DS the total would be 335$.Sky3ds is only 75$.
I'll get a SKY3DS then because it's cheaper and is similar.
I was going to save up for a custom PC but that might take a while if I get the N3DS and Gateway...
Thanks a lot to anyone that helped!
Also, does anyone have any experience with R4i or should I make another topic?

Also, Can you get banned for playing online with a SKY3ds?
Is it really hard or easy to get bricked?

You can get banned. And bricking isnt too big of a deal, unless you're a noob. Just be gentle and careful with it.

Is it possible to unbrick with only sky3ds?
I'm probably just going to play games and not even play online.
You think I would get bricked then?

Since Sky3DS runs on the latest OFW, you can just download eShop game updates like normal, and use the sky3DS like an actual retail game, and it will load the update for the game too.

You can load any game onto it right?
I checked their list but it was confusing.
Also, any Reliable Canadian Sellers?

Yes, giving up, and it's great you have a N3DS with 9.5 emuNAND, I wish I had that, however either way, only time will prove you or I wrong.

nothing about proof!...
i don't even know what you are trying to prove :)
i don't see what time has to do with it

idk, go on ShopTemp and see if any Canadian ones are listed, I personally don't have any flashcard yet.

Thanks everyone for all your help.
I'm going to buy the SKY3DS off of Shoptemp.
The total price is 99$...
Hacking is so expensive now lol.
