Those of you who owned an Amiga or PC during 1992 will probably remember Flashback, the sequel to Another World.

Well, here is a build of Sektor's FlashbackDS with DLDI support.

Download here

If you own an EZ-Flash 4 or 5, follow these instructions.

For all other Flashcarts:
  • Visit Chishm's DLDI site, download the appropriate driver for your Flashcart and use dlditool to patch the "flashbackds-dldi.nds"
  • You will also need a copy of the DOS version of Flashback. Copy the contents of \data to X:\data\flashback\data
One final note - the quit button doesn't work. I had to mess around with Lick's libCartReset to get it to compile properly with Chishm's latest libfat. Saving and loading games works fine.

Tested with EZ-Flash 4 Deluxe, EZ-Flash 4 Lite, EZ-Flash V.

For more info, visit Sektor's official FlashbackDS website

Nice, thanks for the info!
Btw, it didn't mention it on the mainsite but.. how is it working? I mean, is it fully playable till the end with some minor glitch here and there. Or is this still in a 'random freezes' etc kind of state?

in an attempt to translate into american english, here's what i got:

Someone is in the process of fixing it and possibly already has a DLDI patch for the homebrew to load on SLot 1 cards. Just search the posts, it's there somewhere...

I can't get this to work on R4. Anyone else luckier?

Works fine here. Make sure to follow the instructions

QUOTEYou will need the data files from the PC DOS version of the game. Copy the Flashback files to X:\data\flashback\data\ , replace X: with the drive letter of your DS media device.

Remember to just copy all the stuff in the data folder to that one, as well as the music files if you have them.
Also, don't forget to patch the .nds file with the R4 dldi drivers.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
