The plan starts now... Guys... I managed to MERGE BOTH UMD's INTO A SINGLE ONE!! I'll explain a little deeper:
-The UMD ISO9660 format can't handle files bigger than 2.0 GB; when merging both umd, the result was a 2.6 GB yellow BIGFILE, so I had to remove some videos.
-This is not a problem, since we can actually optimize video compression (optimizing all videos in the game should result in an unnoticeable quality loss, kinda what SE to make FFXIII-2 fit in one single DVD).
-We should keep in mind this when translating graphics, as some of them contain text like "DISC1", "DISC2", etc... Or maybe not, this is not that important anyway
-I think both UMD's have different things (at least the title menu show different options). So I made it this way:
***Once you start the ISO DISC1 will be loaded
***You can swap DISC's at runtime (without having to exit to the XMB) using a cheat I just designed
***Using this, save files from DISC1 and DISC2 can be loaded with a single ISO and without having to exit to the XMB.
-The full UMD contains the whole game, meaning that it holds files from both discs, but keeping only one copy of common files, otherwise the yellow package would have grown up to 3.4 GB or so...
-Next thing I'm gonna do is to create tools so anyone can merge their 2 UMD's into this full version, so the translation can be carried out in this full version of the game. Cool, isn't it?
-But I would like to ask some thing: All the options/menus available in UMD1 are always in UMD2? I'm asking mainly from that "Mission Information" in UMD2, I can't see it in UMD1. The idea behind this would be to create a UMD1 able to go through the entire game, but... Would we miss some options? In that case, I will simply leave it as it is right now.
