Now that we are getting this rolling, would be a great time to see who is going to be contributing and what role(s) to the "Project"?

Besides delivering whatever translation my old group has done in the past, I suppose I can make sure everyone is on track. I can attempt to be a manager of sorts.

I can't help at all, but I'm really excited that a fan movement is actually getting started.
About the Crimson Codex and cutscenes - http://lucasdraleau.tumblr.com/ has many of them translated, and he may be able to help.
As well as - http://xi-feng.livejournal.com/ has a translated walkthrough that may be of some help.

I hope these can help you, can't wait :)

For Lucas(my old leader actually), he has some translated there, but not all, nevertheless it is helpful. Along with Xi Feng's walkthrough with some stuff translated.

Well, NSRSM, if you need an assistant, I'm here. :3

Being a proofreader would be awesome.

I can totally do that. Do I just download the files from the server and proof them? Then correct them?
Or tell the people to correct them themselves?

Ideally the filesharing service supports notes and version control. So you could make your edits, make some notes on what you did, submit it, then someone would be able to read your notes and compare your edits to the unedited version.

I haven't looked at the filesharing service's capabilities yet. Maybe it supports notes and version control.

The plan starts now... Guys... I managed to MERGE BOTH UMD's INTO A SINGLE ONE!! I'll explain a little deeper:

-The UMD ISO9660 format can't handle files bigger than 2.0 GB; when merging both umd, the result was a 2.6 GB yellow BIGFILE, so I had to remove some videos.
-This is not a problem, since we can actually optimize video compression (optimizing all videos in the game should result in an unnoticeable quality loss, kinda what SE to make FFXIII-2 fit in one single DVD).

-We should keep in mind this when translating graphics, as some of them contain text like "DISC1", "DISC2", etc... Or maybe not, this is not that important anyway ;)
-I think both UMD's have different things (at least the title menu show different options). So I made it this way:

***Once you start the ISO DISC1 will be loaded
***You can swap DISC's at runtime (without having to exit to the XMB) using a cheat I just designed
***Using this, save files from DISC1 and DISC2 can be loaded with a single ISO and without having to exit to the XMB.

-The full UMD contains the whole game, meaning that it holds files from both discs, but keeping only one copy of common files, otherwise the yellow package would have grown up to 3.4 GB or so...

-Next thing I'm gonna do is to create tools so anyone can merge their 2 UMD's into this full version, so the translation can be carried out in this full version of the game. Cool, isn't it? ;)

-But I would like to ask some thing: All the options/menus available in UMD1 are always in UMD2? I'm asking mainly from that "Mission Information" in UMD2, I can't see it in UMD1. The idea behind this would be to create a UMD1 able to go through the entire game, but... Would we miss some options? In that case, I will simply leave it as it is right now.

Awesome, nice work!

An update from my side, I've translated/editted quite a bunch of graphics, including the main menu and location transition? graphics. They can be found in my folder.
The chapter intro graphics are finished as well (twice lol).

So I guess I'll be working as a graphical artist alongside Artistan? Anyways, love how this translation is starting to look better and better!

You said it! And thanks Magius, I'll try to have the UMD merging tool ASAP, translating a merged version will save us a lot of work porting the translation from one UMD to another ;)

Having issue with image 5829... the alpha channel is not cooperating with me...

How do you mean? I'm not an artist but maybe I can try and help figure out the issue.

Worse comes to worse come back to this one later.

Edit: I've looked through everything. The image GuardianSoul did that says "North Togores Region" should say "North Togoreth Region". How do I know for sure? Official Map of Orience.

Artistan: Image 5833 7.png has the word "injured" spelled as "injuerd". Correct this when able.

Image 5834 2.png has a "g" after Calendar. Remove this when able.

Everything else looks great.
