I never liked tactics ogre...

anyways~

can't wait for FFTA2

looks interesting.. Is it like Crystal Chronicles.. Hack and slash?? Or is it more like FF III or FF XII????

@Curley5959 it's an SRPG, Turn Based Strategic Role Playing.

I played the GBA game around 150hrs or possibly more. Finished the main quest and all the extras afterwards.
Great game I am really looking forward to this release (played the JPN version about 15hrs then quit once this was announced).

A lot of fans of the PSX/PSP version didn't rate it feeling it was too 'kiddyfied' and missed lots of features. I recently bought the PSP game and just couldn't get into it. I've tried playing it on PSX, XBOX(emu) and PSP and I just don't find it as fun as the GBA/DS games, has way too much grind and not enough reward.

I think the release thread later this month will easily pass 500 posts, and I remember when the GBA game came out it wouldn't save at first, and everyone had to wait for a fix by Titney of pocketheaven (ported from the JPN rls sav fix) and the thread was a record setter for gbatemp forum.

Roll on the 24th! (or 27th, I forget XD)

[-EDIT-]
lol the GBA thread got closed at 341 posts as it was too epic for the server to handle haha:

I just opened it again.

Ugh... I NEVER liked FFT and FFTA. Technically, the games are good, but they don't catch me like other games like Luminous Arc, Front Mission, Disgaea and so on. Maybe i play FFTA2, just for try it.

You hated FFT/FFTA but liked Luminous Arc? I would have thought it was the other way round for most people. I have played FFTA for 100s of hours straight, while I dropped Luminous Arc 2 or 3 hours in. I couldn't stand Luminous Arc - the characters and the plot were horribly generic and there was no way to battle except for storyline battles or repeating storyline battles. You really should give FFTA2 a try.

That's what I'm afraid of; if FFTA2 got a moogle of death or anything, it's gonna be crazy on the boards

Let's hope it won't be the case !

From what I've played of the Japanese version I can't say I'm that fussed by this game.

Give us a DS Tactics Ogre game!

I don't we'll probably see that anymore since a lot Flashcarts updated their FW with fixes, but then again I could be wrong

Can't wait until this is out...def. going to pick this up. FFT for the PSX was epic...hell, nearly every damn FF game I've played was pretty good(except ff3 on the ds, that sucked)

well it took me awhile for FFTA, as i have been trying to get everything hehe

and everything else is eagarly waiting for is FF 4 and FFTA2

FFT was just amazing. A deep story with fun gameplay and deep customizations of characters. I still never touched FFTA.. I gotta do so within these weeks since FFTA2 is coming out. I replayed FFT like 5 times or something. I just love it that much.

Wanted to like FFTA, but couldn't. Maybe because I hate the rpg elements. Didn't like Jeanne d'Arc for PSP either, probably for the same reasons. Loved advance wars though, hope that translates to FFTA2 this time around.

Really looking forward to it like everyone else, and I enjoyed the first two games too. And oh do I remember the bitching about FFTA's "kiddy" story. That said, I hope to have a lot of enjoyment out of this one since I put in a lot of time into the last two as well. And hey, at least FFTA was fairly hard in some regards. =P

I already beat the Japanese version, but playing it again in English would probably immerse me into the story much more, since I can only read half of the Japanese characters.

Ready to clock about another 100 hours on this one, just like on FFTA. Won't throw any quest items away either (I threw away one in FFTA and it killed my chances for getting the judge missions).

didn't really much care for FFTA guess i couldn't get into it, but i am so looking forward to FFTA2 and probably will invest time in this one
