I have a physical Japanese copy of Fire Emblem Fates (Conquest) and wanted to play the game in English, but still use my physical cart. I figured I could patch the DLC so I could still use my physical copy. I acquired a decrypted CIA of the Japanese DLC and was able to patch it. I then installed it through FBI and started up my game. Main menu still in Japanese? That's fine, I'm didn't think the Nohr parts would get translated, but I'm sure the alternate paths will be. I made sure the DLC was installed. Yup, I have a total of 9 save slots. I start a new game starting from Chapter 6 to try the Hoshido path...and it's still in Japanese. Did I do something wrong? Is it not possible to use the fan translation with a physical copy? Do I have to actually get a decrypted Jap CIA dump of Hoshido, patch it, then install it? I can't just use the DLC version?
