The only reason I hate it is that people keep telling me to get one no matter how many times I said no.DeadLocked said:I don't see why people hate it so much.
If you don't like a person, remove them. Simple as that.
Or are all of your friends bitches? Maybe it's you?
At heart it's just a way to connect with all your friends rather than narrowing it down to 3 or 4 close friends that you might hardly see.
I don't know why so many people look down their nose at it.
EDIT: I'm not saying you have to like it, just please come up with a more valid reason than "it causes drama" or "sick of seeing such and such a thing"
Just ignore the idiot that said that, they're pretty sad for considering that a social life anyway.KirbyBoy said:The only reason I hate it is that people keep telling me to get one no matter how many times I said no.
I was tempted to make one, but after my someone told me "At least I have a social life" because they're on fb, that was the last straw.
Well, it's not just that, that person never leaves her cell phone. I mean never. And if anyone were to just touch it, she would freak out.DeadLocked said:Just ignore the idiot that said that, they're pretty sad for considering that a social life anyway.KirbyBoy said:The only reason I hate it is that people keep telling me to get one no matter how many times I said no.

Only reason I'm for facebook is I would have lost contact with all of my friends from school after leaving without it.
The future of the United States friends. From what I've seen. Sad but mostly just mind blowing rage inducing.KirbyBoy said:Well, it's not just that, that person never leaves her cell phone. Which is why I don't like cell phones. I have one, but I don't hold on to it like a lifeline. She even took it with here while our we were having a family dinner. I mean really.keine said:KirbyBoy said:Well, it's not just that, that person never leaves her cell phone. I mean never. Seriously, she's just like her mother (I was adopted by my grandparents so I'm not claiming her ass). See my friend Tyler didn't threaten to kill himself, he just kept trying to do it and I had to hear Annie tell me about it.
I would suggest doing that to yourself..
How do you know if she's trying to get attention? She could saying the truth.Aeladya said:KirbyBoy said:Aeladya said:Honestly if I had to hear about my half-sister (who found me on FB) talk about killing herself one more time, I might have killed her myself. Seriously? She's just trying to get attention. It pisses me off that she's just trying to do this and I had a friend who actually did it. I don't know her at all. I'm not going to actually kill her. I find it easier to just ignore her. Her mother tried the same thing, she just wants attention, and I'm done with people trying to say they're going to kill themselves on a daily basis so people will give them attention and say they feel sorry for them when I know people who have actually done it. You think I'm a bad person and should kill myself because I'm sick of her trying to get attention? Understand why I don't deal with that crap first.

Have you ever tried talking to her about it?

Because in 99/100 cases, people don't avidly tell people they're going to kill themselves and then actually do it. They leave a note, or nothing at all and attempt it. Odd problem actually. Most people who will actually kill themselves likely get that far because they WONT talk to someone about it. Generally if someone threatens to kill themselves, they wont. They're attention seeking.
Two of my friends were like that. Never lead on anything, never talked about it if I asked if something was wrong. One friend I got told what happened from her brother, the second left me a "note" on MSN one night when I had already gone to bed. It's the kind of thing where you might notice something is wrong, but not realize how bad it is until you're at their funeral.
