Due to the development priority. EZ-FLASH Jr will go on after EZ-FLASH OMEGA Definitive Edition next firmware release.
i still can't believe people are still waiting for 5.0 this has been going on for almost a year now. Make it open source so the community can fix your mistakes. LOL

That's some good news^
I wouldn't trust anything coming in the form of an update, but I do see them releasing a new flashcard before then.

Well.. just going (maybe a bit) off-topic here.

Are there any plans for adding support of .gbs (music rips) playback?
I often listen to stuff like this on PC/Android and I managed to play gbs files on real gameboy, but this requires a lot of work to make .gb from .gbs (I wanted to use gbs2gb 1.17 but this tool just does not work under Win10 x64)

Maybe after the save-states implementation, if we're lucky

One day, there'll be an award for pointless, useless, stupid, self-satisfied, ignorance and also arrogance "answers"... and guess who'll win this one...:yay:

EZflash said if they would do that, they would probably release an entirely new version of the flash card. Just like Everdrive does.

for savestates, you can patch your games with this:
https://github.com/mattcurrie/gb-save-states

works well
This is to much of science fiction to an average Joe like me. The point is: a flash cart instead a hack/patch is far more pratical to solve most of the tecnical problems through minimal and simple solutions, just like, insert flash cart into handheld, turn on and boom, it's working , it's working! Simple and fun. So, a simple yet cheap flash cart like EZJR with save-states would be the holy grail of gameboy flash carts!

the problem is, That implementation of this is nowhere near „simple“.

Depending on the way it is done you might even need additional HW. Also, the patches above do not work for all games, but only for some of them.

that's exactly how he built his post count. He trolls this forum day in and day out with no actual knowledge. It's pretty sad you can literally see the depression through his posts. I'm glad i wasn't the only one to take notice.

Hey there,

First of all: Great work! I am so happy that I can play on my GBC again and have all games at hand at once.

I just recently bought the EZflash jr and I‘m using it with my CGB-001 with no CPU Suffix. FW4 didn‘t work for me (microSD intial error), but FW5RC works like a charm! Had to upgrade the FW using my super gameboy, but since then its working fine on my GBC.

Some issues I encountered:

- Warioland 3 crashes randomly (screen freezes or blackscreen)

- Can‘t get the save feature to work: I have auto save enabled and all the time i‘m leaving a game (either by resetting or off/on switch), the game seems to save fine. But as soon as I open the game again, it just starts at the beginning again. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a known issue?

Hi Jaycop. Where did you download the FW5RC? I have the same version of GBC that you have but cannot use the EZFLASHJR (microSD initial error).

In the official site of EZFLASH they have delted the download link for the FW5 so I cannot use.

Thanks!!!

Hi,

back then, the downloadlink was still available. I have the file on my computer, so if its not available for download anymore, I can send you a PN with the file later on.
Fwiw: The firmware still works like a charm for me - no issues at all.

Just realized: the file is still there, just the link has been removed:

Can‘t post links here, but if you exchange the zipfile in the url to download FW4 with FW5K105RC.zip then you should be able to download it.

Please prepare at least one SD card with sufficient speed, such as sandisk red 32GB, to avoid encountering INIT OS issue.

I agree that they need to open source it and there is not probably coming 5.0.
