I'm sure this is a stupid question, but still wanted to confirm. There is no current way to spoof a firm, or use the eshop on an old firm through homebrew (like on the 3ds), right? I wanted to try layeredfs, but I don't have any digital games. I got my switch on 4.1 about a week after 5.0 came out, so I never got a chance to use online features. I am trying to stay on the firm in prep for Atmosphere. Speaking of which, when is the expected release date of Atmosphere? All help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a way to run the latest firmware without burning fuses meaning you can return to what firmware you were on....

Looks risky, might hold off on that one.

You can use eXhop but the problem is none of the installed titles will work without verifying that you own the games or signature patching. And the verification step only occurs on the latest firmware.

I am aware that SX is the only public sig patch. Is there any others set to release soon?

Personally, I don't care as long as I can play backups without shelling out for SX OS. But if you must know, he is considered a "trap". (Please do not discuss any further than this).
Lol. The fact that he is even doing this, even though it doesn't benefit him. He is very selfless. That is all that matters.

Waiting for my switch to arrive and was wondering the same thing.
Is it really that important if you update and burn fuses (considering that the exploits used right now / SX OS aren't firmware dependent?)

Only if you care about using a jig and USB cable which some people do. If you don't, you can update while burning fuses. But being able to update without burning fuses is a nice alternative until we get a more robust way of being on the latest firmware (i.e. EmuNAND).

Are you being for real, cause that's hard to believe, DK is Nintendo and made in japan, Sea of thieves was from Microsoft, in America. I'm not calling you a liar, just didn't know.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
