Escapists On the 3DS

Does anyone know if there is an Escapists port to the 3DS or if one is in the works? The Escapists is one of my favorite 8-bit games, so I'd love to be able to play it on my 3DS. Thanks for any answers you can give!

Is there some reason you're expecting that something like this would be hidden in some secret corner of the Internet that you couldn't find with Google..?

The Escapists is one of my favorite 8-bit games

It is not "8-bit". It has retro-style graphics but beneath that it is not readily distinguished from any other modern game.

In any case, if someone was going to "port" this to some other system, they probably wouldn't start with the 3DS. Also, since the source code hasn't been released, they'd either have to rewrite it from scratch or completely reverse-engineer the code.

I apologize for my misuse of the term 8-bit. Google hasn't been very useful for finding ports and things of the such. The AI overview just rambles about nothing, and the search engine recommends me useless reddit posts.
