Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Hacking Error downloading wads

I get this message error when I try and install any WAD file. So far I have tried Lylatt Wars, Paper Mario, Ninja Gaiden, Pinball, Pokemon snap, RType, Sin&Punishment and more.

It gives me 2 messages before the error comes up:

Reading WAD file...OK!
Installing WAD, please wait...

then this comes up

ERROR: WAD not installed! (ret = -1)

Can anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it?

PS. I have also tried installing using the Twilight Princess method but it gets stuck after quite a bit of coding and freezes, before the Wad Manager even starts.

Try re-downloading the Wad Manager? There's a new version out (1.1).

It's okay now... I downloaded a pack of 42 games and none of them worked but I've just downloaded Crystal Chronicles and it seems to be installing fine.
