Basically, I'm using epsxe to play PS1 games. Apparently, you can ONLY access the ability to use the analog stick if you have an controller with an analog stick. Is there any way to force the thing to map the analog control to keys? I like how most N64 emulators do this, but almost NO PS1 emulators let you do it.
I'm trying to play Ape Escape. If you've played it, you'll know that it REQUIRES a controller with analog. I'm also trying to play the game Croc, which is far easier to control with an analog stick. That would be fine if my old Gravis Eliminator Aftershock actually WORKED. The analog stick drifts. I can adjust that using these drivers called Xperience software. But in addition to that, the controller seems to randomly stop functioning (even the LED lights won't come on) when I'm using those drivers.
If anyone has any suggestions, thanks in advance. I can't afford a new controller.
