I usually build my tollerance up to like 6 of these a day during the busy season at work (18+ hour days for about 10 weeks), each 16oz can has 200mg of caffiene which only equals about 12oz of cofee. The other ingrediants mainly the 2000mg of taurine are what really get you going.

As a strict coffee addict, I say no to blasphemic drinks like these already, unless they're to be used for a cocktail of sorts.

I never bought a energy drink before or even drink coffee before and I can stay awake for hours without sleeping, Wonder why they say caffeine works?

Coffe is the only thing that can wake me up in the morning. CAFFEINE! :tpi:
But apart from coffe, the only other drink that has caffeine that I (rarely) drink is coca cola.
Never really drank any type of energy drink, one time I did taste one, and I din't really like it.

For fuck sakes folks. These are energy drinks. Not soda. They are meant to be drank every once in a while. Once a DAY at the MOST. If you die from caffiene poisoning it's your own goddamn fault. Not the fault of the manufacturer. There really shouldn't be a warning label saying "too much of this shit can kill you." Because one would think it's common sense!

It's call America: If someone dies from a product, it's the manufacturer's fault no matter what warnings they put and/or the common sense people should have.

This is why there are silly warnings on a lot of products even food, because 80-90% of Americans have no common sense. If an idiot dies or goes to the hospital from a product they can sue and the warnings reduce the chance but still they can sue because America is Lawsuit Nation.

I had to cut caffeine completely out of my diet. You don't realize how much it affects you until you stop taking it in but it has major effects on energy (not in the intended way), mood, and digestion among other things. All you young kids might think it's not a big deal and that "it doesn't affect me", but believe me, it does and you don't even realize it.

I know it affects me, just like me smoking cigarettes and cigars affect me, I just don't care.
Comments like these bring warmth to my heart and a smile to my face, because if you suffer the consequences of your actions, you'll have no right for pity from anyone of us, and that saves us some time and energy.

I rarely have a caramel latte but thats maybe once a week. No negative effects on me, in fact having a coffee when I feel like shit makes me feel way better.

What makes you think that people who choose to do unsafe things require or request any sympathy from you? It's comments like this one that make me remember how ignorant, self-important, and entitled people are.

It's a two way street, you see?

I don't care what you think about the things I do to pass the time, and I certainly don't need validation from you about it. My expectation is, that in return, you don't give a shit what I do in my free time, or think that you have the right to an opinion about my life.

Seriously, grow up. It isn't so much the "you're doing something that can hurt you" as the "i expect that you'll be bothered if I don't approve of your actions" that is offensive.

I'm nobody. You're nobody. Get over yourself. Don't expect any pity? Get over yourself. Who exactly do you think wants pity from you about their own choices?

Christ, I can't stand people these days.

I often have tea when I have a very bad day or if I need something to relax me, it keeps me functioning and feeling great, the caffene has no effect on me.

  • Taurine – a natural amino acid needed by the body to help manage heart beat and muscle contractions. Currently, scientists are trying to discover its impact as a energy drink additive.
  • Ginseng – a sort of root thought to have several medicinal benefits. It is stated that ginseng relives stress and can improve your level of energy.
  • Vitamin B – a group of vitamins and minerals that can change sugar to energy
  • Carnitine – an amino acid. Its effects may be mainly on the metabolism of fatty acids in your body.
  • Creatine – an organic acid which main contribution is on energizing the muscles for muscle contraction.
  • Inositol – a member of the vitamin B complex which helps relay communications within cells in the body.
  • Ginkgo biloba – came from the seeds of the ginkgo biloba tree. You will find studies claiming its memory improvement capabilities.
  • Sugar – many energy drinks contain a lot of sugar of most brands carry a diet version with artificial sugars.
  • Caffeine – plays also a bog part in energy drinks ingredients. Caffeine and different minerals blocks certain brain chemicals in transmitting its communications to the brain. This brain chemical is known as adenosine which primarily concerned in sleep. Convinced that the body is experiencing a problem, the pituitary gland produces adrenaline. Adrenaline release makes the heart beat faster, eyes to dilate, and the liver to discharge extra sugar to the mainstream. This would provide the consumer an additional surge of energy needed for intense physical or mental activity
Meh just though I should post the effect of major ingredients in energy drinks.

It is in the USA.
I don't know if there still are energy drinks that contains Ephedrine.

Checked monster, red bull, rockstar, venom, Bawls. none of them contains Ephedrine, can as well remove it from the list.

It would save you more time if you didn't post something thinking I would expect pity from anyone. In fact, the whole problem with your post is the word "pity". I like to smoke, and drink energy drinks, that doesn't mean I don't deserve to have people be sad. Would I want them to? No, not at all, I don't want people to be sad over my death at all. I mean, if you were driving, and you like driving, or even if you're swimming and you drown, I could say the exact same thing "you deserve no pity over your death". In fact, I'm glad I wouldn't have any remorse from you especially if you can't accept the fact that someone else likes to do something that you don't.

Creatine is a naturally-occurring substance produced by the body in small amounts (but it is not a necessary nutrient, as stated here http://tinyurl.com/6qa8vjw ), and there can be adverse effects on the liver if too much is consumed. If people really need energy that badly, relying wholly on energy drinks is hardly the best way of getting it.
