Hacking EmuNAND Question N3DS

I was curious about the process for updating EmuNAND for the New 3DS because a while back, I remember the Gateway team saying that the New 3DS would be unable to update to 9.5 on EmuNAND because of some new encryption Nintendo added? So it's entirely possible to update EmuNAND on the New 3DS now or not?

And the process for updating EmuNAND is the same on the Old 3DS as it was on the New 3DS?

Im on 9.5 emunand on the new 3ds it works fine.

format emunand-> make sure you're on emunand otherwise never update(obv) and do a system update once ur sure you're in emunand and done. i suggest unlinking sys & emunand after the update

im assuming its exactly the same as before(new user ~2weeks)

yes the process is the same and is safe to update as long as you boot to emunand and see the GW" in the settings before system version you can update without exiting the settings.

It is, 9.5 encryption was quickly cracked, and as others said, it works exactly like before.

Emunand on N3DS can be updated to the last version, 9.5.0.23

Be sure to use the last version of the launcher (3.1.1), previous version (3.1.0) had a bug which wasn't displayed GW3D in the firmware name, even if you were in emunand, but it got fixed with the last update of the launcher.

I just recently updated to emunand 9.5.0-23 on all 3 of my 3DS (Classic, XL, NewXL). All working good. Go for it
