emuiibo - MitM'ing NFP services for Amiibo emulation

Hi everyone!

I noticed there was a project called switch-nfp-mitm, which had lots of forks, but none of them properly working (people reported it barely worked, and with some games), thus I decided to try to fix it, or to improve it as much as I could. Well, the results were that good, that I've just managed to get it working perfectly, even with a nice system of combos for Amiibo swapping, in just 2 days.

So, well, here's the result:

emuiibo

emuiibo is a virtual amiibo (amiibo emulation) system for Nintendo Switch!

It consists on a background process (and service), which intercepts Nintendo Switch's internal NFC/NFP services to support virtual amiibo emulation, plus an overlay to easily control it.

Have fun playing around with custom virtual amiibos!

I’m having a problem opening emutool on pc it says “unable to connect to the remote server” and the exe never opens. Any help?
It's pretty obvious that the server the json file is fetched from that gives the amiibo data is not working just now, you will need to wait until the server is back online.

If anyone needs to desperately needs this while the server is offline - I made a version that works offline and online ages ago (before the ftp feature was added).

thanks for this! I got it working and created an amiibo but when I got them into the amiibo folder on Sd/emuiibo, switch only sees the folders but not the content. Although it has json files and such. What did i do wrong? (Apparently I’m missing flag files from the amiibo but i dont know what to do)

Has anyone figured out how to get the Monster Hunter Rise amiibos to work fully? They are for the daily lottery and to unlock new armors, the armors are not showing up as claimable.

Is this no longer functional on 12.0 and AMS 19? It worked on the previous version but now it says "Emuiibo was not accessed" when clicking on it in Tesla. I opened up the sysmodule overlay and I can't even toggle on the Emuiibo module. I know 19 broke a lot of homebrew stuff, but I haven't seen anyone else talking about Emuiibo.

They're working on it.

What's the latest Atmosphere version that this supports? I'm on 0.18.1 with console v11.0.1 and still get "emuiibo not loaded" message

@XorTroll I see mentioned on release 0.5 that ".bin" support was fixed, but I don't see any documentation for how to use/format for .bin files on the github or the usage wiki. I extracted my wolf link amiibo save to an NFC tag and it works fairly painlessly, but can't seem to get it to work correctly with Emuiibo. Do you have any documentation or suggestions? Also, if bin files do still work, can you still randomize the ID so if wolf link dies you can scan again to get another since it thinks it's a different amiibo?

But does it work on Atmosphere 0.19 with system at 11.0.1? Cause I was getting "emuiibo not loaded"
Got it to work by uninstalling emuiibo and Amiigo, and then installing the 1st one, rebooting and then installing AmiigoMod.
But now Tesla isn't working for me, so I'm gonna head to that post lol

For the Miitopia demo, it seems to be registering most of the Amiibos as ... not figures? I don't know if there's a way to get it to register them as figures over ... whatever else it wants to see it as?
