If it is real, I doubt the boxart would be so similar to that of Oblivion, especially as it is supposedly a port of Arena and Daggerfall.

Arena & Daggerfall doesn't use ScummVM, you need Dosbox or any other x86 emulator to be able to play them.

all I have to say is, if you really searched google for THREE hours, you don't know how to use google for ****, or its just a failed attempt at an excuse.
Anyway, you can soo tell that box art is fake:
1. thats the image for elder's scroll IV, if you did ANY research, you would see that all elders scroll games have different box arts.
2. the 'DS' in the box art is horrible, you should instantly be able to see that the DS was fakely made, since the quality of the words 'DS' is a lot worst than the oblivion symbol -.-.

not to mention your source IS 2006, AND its april 1st. lol, fail.

And if arena and daggerfall come out on ds, wats the point? Those games are freeware anyway.

The point is that if they come out on DS then you don't have to horribly emulate them with ScummVM anymore. (not sure if it's scummvm, but someone said you could play Arena and Daggerfall through that)

Yeah, I think that they were mistaken, too, because I checked up after I posted that and found out they were DOSbox compatible.

I should really have remembered that, actually... I went on the official Elder Scrolls site about a year ago and even they said you had to use DOSbox. O.o

The boxart posted has to be wrong, that's the logo for Oblivion, so the game would be called Oblivion DS. lol

The 1st elderscrolls games used a raycasting engine, similar to Doom1.
the second one was a hybrid bsp based engine, like Quake or ultima underworld.

I don't doubt the DS could run a game like that, and they are both pretty fun and engrossing games.

the closest we'll get for now is a game called "fighting fantasy" which is supposed to be out today. only review is from nintendo power, giving it a 4.0, but i will hold out for more reviews and some hands on time. looks pretty decent to me

I consider Nintendo Power reviews a lot like RPG's. Any games that they say are good are good, and any games they say are bad are good. It's just like the standard rule of RPG's, if someone tells you to do something, you do it, and if they tell you not to do something, you go ahead and do it anyway.
