Where will all configs and lua scripts be stored?
What do you need to know basically to write such a save edit config?

I think that EdiZon could refer to Thomas Edison, based on @thomasnet and a wordplay on edit and maybe zone? I'm not sure on the zone part though.

Whenever I try to use EdiZon, I can click a game but when I get to the part where I click my profile my switch freezes completely.
edit: Works with Hekate.

Okay. Once and for all, SX OS is bad. Especially if it comes to homebrew. If you want to pirate games, go ahead and use SX OS but don't expect ANY homebrew to work on it. Neither me nor @thomasnet do have SX OS to test it on and neither of us do support it. Until TX fixed those issues, you have to use Hekate and Atmosphere. We're not going to fix SX OS related issues.

Could someone make an editor for Fire Emblem Warriors? I've been trying to figure it out myself using the recently released one for Hyrule Warriors as a base for how it should look but cant seem to understand how to put in the offsets properly to get it to work and I don't find the wiki to be much help. All the offsets are right in the OP's post here https://gbatemp.net/threads/fire-emblem-warriors-save-editing.505591/ so one would think it should be fairly simple to convert if they have an understanding about how this stuff gets put together. Thanks in advance to whoever can make this, I could just as easily use the save editor in the post but I like the convenience of not having to plug my switch into my computer every time i want to edit something and until FTP gets fixed and works properly both ways, its more of a hassle than anything.

Anyone else having trouble with Zelda BOTW or Hyrule warriors? I have tried everything I can think of, but nothing has worked.

When running EdiZon through sxos 1.3 both games freeze right after selecting a profile. When running EdiZon through the latest hekate both games cause a crash and gives me an error right after the profile selection part.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: probably should mention that I have tried editing Mario Odyssey and Hollow knight and they work just fine.

Edit2: just deleted the .json editor files and both games now continue past the profile part to where it says "No editor JSON file found. Editing is disabled." Tried redownloading the files multiple times just in case they got corrupted, still nothing. Anyone else having problems when using those editor files?

It was already stated that SX OS problems won't get supported. For the game crashes on hekate, it could be a corrupted savefile. Depending on what you changed.

Yeah, I can read too. Just stated the whole SXpro thing so it was known that the two games cause issue no matter what method I use. Which would, logically, mean that it would be something with EdiZon or possibly the editor files causing the issue.

Also, saves work fine just the freeze or error right after the profile part in EdiZon.

I have a BotW v1.0 save on my 2.3.0 Switch
Is it possible for me to restore that save to my profile on my 5.1.0 Switch with BotW v1.5?
It seems I can't downgrade BotW on my 5.1.0 Switch, I deleted the data, but it knows there is an update still, and won't let launch it, even with wifi off
Just wondering if the v1.0 save will work on v1.5

it would just add the dlc compatibility to that save file, though i wouldn't recommend trying to transfer the save back to the lower version console after updating the save file version. Moving an older save up is always fine, going back is where it causes issues.

  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
