Hacking EDGE SD Micro and random skins question

My Cyclo DS died on me so I am thinking about getting the Edge and saving $$. Questions:

1) Did they ever fix the issue with the sdmicro chip not sitting fllush with the cartridge? If it isn't fixed, does it really matter when the cart is in the DS? does the micro cart stick out of the DS itself?

2) Does it have random skins function?

I bought one from DealExtreme about 2 months ago and it fits perfectly.
It's now $11.25 USD from there with free shipping.
Edge DS from DealExtreme
And no it doesnt have the random skin feature.
Not that im aware of anyway.

    Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
