Hacking Edge DS skin Editor

I've just started making some skins - attemping to.

They all look crap becasue the 3 buttons (Games, Media and Settings) are square so you can see there cut off around the sides. Is there a quick way to get rid of this?

Making a round JPEG seems to be harder then what i thought?

Any help would be great, its driving me crazy.....

Check out the Edge competition thread, people had different workarounds.

My way was making the transparent color just a little shade lighter/darker than the background color. That way it's less noticable.

Umm... I can't really decipher what you mean (sorry), can you post an image of your buttons?

If you're talking about transparency outside the buttons, in EDGE skin editor there's the import background feature which should give you the solution.

If it's not what you mean, I need to rely to picture to se what you mean

Thanks heaps mate. I knew it would be something easy....I was trying to make the backround colours change not even thinking about the import backround button.
