Hacking Easiest CFW for 3ds

What would be the best recommendation in terms of the current CFW out there, newbie friendly and easy to use.

A have a 3ds with 4.5 firmware ( it has no browser)

GW is the easiest one, you only need the launcher file and the card.
but other CFW only need couple files and it's npt hard to setup rei or aurainand

Aureinand is your best option. But you'll need to find a guide on how to update with no browser to 9.2 if you don't want to spend money on a game that'll cost more than $15.

If you were on 1.0 then you should've grabbed your OTP before upgrading to 4.5.

If you don't have an exploitable browser I think you need a cheap r4i cart or an exploitable game cart like Cubic Ninja.

With one of this you can install a 4.s FW with Gateway software (you don't need a GW cart) or install RxTools and upgrade your FW running PASTA mode.

There are others way, but you always need an entrypoint using a phisical cart AFAIK.

I have a r4 cart but even something like cakes seems like it needs something else installed like mset etc..

So i just install meset or spider? This is a bit confusing to say the least

I already have a sky3ds and this one seems like a headache

Here is what i have so far

1. an r4 card
2. I downloaded all the files in the cake cfw topic, and found the key online for the bin file needed and generated mine.

So here is what will root of sd looks like:
cakerop.nds
cake.bin
slotkeybin file
00000050
cetk
3ds folder
cakes folder
cakes vcd file

I actually deleted the ''here'' files and replaced them with what they said which i assume would be obious so the 00 and cetk files are now in the cakes folder and the slotbin file is in the root of sd

Put smash bros Rev02 #1670 3dsdb.com on your sky and update to 9.2. Then use Cubic Ninja to install menuhax.
I think it's a better entry point than mset and 9.2 is just a better firmware for cfw overall.

Try using AuReiNAND. It's better than Cakes.

Yes, you can try one and change to another cfw if you don't like it

well i suppose my main problem atm is finding how to install mset since most of the topics i found in this site all revert back to installing this but the specific topics on auri or cakes don't mention how to.

Ill probably resume tomorrow should get some sleep for now

Most cfw can be launched through menuhax instead of ninjhax now

i was going to use cake cfw, so if i follow this correctly i will download and install the start pack and follow directions on video posted then instead of broswerhax i will use cake cfw

What are you talking about? You can't install CFW without a homebrew entry. BTW what error do you get when you use your browser (please don't tell me you don't have a browser icon)

i don't have a browser icon this 3ds was originally on 1.0 i updated to 4.5 through a cart hence i never got the browser update
