Okay, i have an older dell with limited ram and hdd space. can anyone recommend a decently priced DVD burner to install? prefferibly, a DVD/CD writer and reader combo.

I don't believe any particular burner will work better on a lower end system than any other.
All DVD-RW drives (that I know of) are both CD and DVD burners and readers.

It would be helpful if you could post your specs (Operating System, RAM, Processor, HDD size, etc.) and what blank media you can get easily.
