FYI (everyone) - I can confirm that the 'loading' screen DOES start @ a different place on each update (I've stuck the values on the first post)

- I was lucky enough to still have the earlier downloads stored on my PC for me to check

Can you confirm for me CannonFoddr if my skin maker correctly locates the Loading Screen image in every version? (Tools->Modify Loading Screen)

If not, I'd like to have a look at the other versions.

Yes..... I've loaded each of them in & the 'loading' screen seems to line up to the edges just fine on all of them (even done screengrabs & magnified the edges to check) - one small suggestion: I noticed once 'applied' it overwrites the original DSGame file... how about an automatic 'bak'-up in case things go wrong, or would that be much trouble ?

EDIT: & WHY the hell am I posting suggestions for the program in THIS post

lol, and good idea with the backup. I'll add that into the next version, thanks for verifying that for me.

It should be future-proof then, unless the DSGAME.nds file drastically changes.

Soon with the SDK coming and auto-boot game coming then I expect DSGAME.nds to change alot but I somewhat doubt them changing the loading screen, unless it becomes part of skinning (In the skin folder)

Just thought I'd let people in this thread know, I updated my DS Skin Maker to also support making skins for the plugins screen and the GBA emulator. There are no previews as of yet, but hopefully in the very near future

DS Skin Maker

Sorry for double posting :/

Just thought I'd let you know that I've uploaded another version, this one includes all of the preview pages for the GBA and Plugins modes.

-EDIT-

And another version, 0.45, which improves the DSTwo previews.

Introducing my first skin!

Named "Julia" it is based on the Fractal "Julia Set". I made a fractal renderer a few months ago, and decided to use some of the output images to make a skin.

Main Preview

Ignore the green block, thats a problem left over in my DSTwo previewer, it doesn't appear on the DS.

Plugins Preview

Preview2.png

It includes all the files needed for the DS_GAME skins, Plugins and it comes with a Loading Screen. Use either my DS Skin Maker or the alternate program on the first page to install the loading screen.

@dhjohn

Nice skin, i downloaded it

my suggestion is, a better font for the start button
and a preview pic for gba skin and plugin were nice

thanks

Yep fixed it, uploaded a new image, and modified the preview XML to fix the problem.

p.s. My DS Skin Maker link on the first page is broken (I cleared up some older versions).

p.p.s. Is there any chance you could update the "Loading Screen" tutorial to include my program? Just so people know there is an alternative (slightly less messy

) way of doing it.

-edit- I've updated my DS Skin Maker. The update fixes several bugs and fixes a few issues with the previews.

Some great skins being uploaded. Keep up the good work fellas, us unartitistic sorts really do appreciate your efforts.

@Stormwave: Done and Done...

Sorry.... it took a while to catch up - I was losing track of which version(s) I had - you're updating too quickly for me to catch up.. (Especially when the last 3 version all have 0.44 as the version number

)

I THINK I'm now up-to-date
