Hacking DSTT Start up problem

my little bro has a problem with the dstt. sometimes when he turns it on it freezes and he has to like turn it off and on for like 3 times so it can work, he's getting frustrated and wants it fixed can someone help?

It sounds like a contact problem if it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. He should contact the store he bought it from and exchange it for a new one.

There's nothing you can do software-wise to fix a hardware problem.

Some people have had success placing paper or cardboard behind the cart to help it make contact, but that really isn't a very good solution. Some have had success bending the cart or shaving the plastic "teeth" between the contacts, but that has a good chance of breaking the flash cart and isn't always permanent.
