I'm not looking for those
Those are everywhere
Well, there's the GBAccelerator DS which lets you overclock a DS to run games sped up. (activated/deactivated with a button combo)
I happen to have a GBAccelerator DS laying around that I never installed because I didn't trust my soldering skills.

Why, do you have a bricked DS Lite?
It doesn't seem like anyone has re-flashed their DS with a hardware flasher, instead people have replaced their BIOS chip completely.
Because I keep buying them and I brick half and sell the ones I don't brick

I can flash modded firmware with it
But there's no point in having modded firmware.
Anyway, there is a way. It involves swapping the BIOS chip on a running console for the broken one then running the FlashMe installer.

It sounds dangerous, but the BIOS chip is actually socketed, so there's no soldering required and it can be done quickly.

There was a point. Stuff like Flashme could remove the H&S screen and other stuff, so you could turn it on and be directly to the menu. I preferred the H&S being skipped.

I prefer flashme
If its installed you have protecton from the very rare brickme stuff
Also lets you dump, edit, and reflash the firmware

I love the hs skip
