So, you are saying that theme creators would be able to define the icon positions, icon placement, acceleration, and the 3D angle? Cause, well, even if it was a limited selection of options, it would still be awesome.
So far, the themes are a bit limited...
the Y position of the icons can be set, and the animation style. There are currently 4 pre-sets, the first is the grow style as in the first version of dsision, based on the osx dock, the second, is just plain 100% size, nothing special there, the third is the cover-flow style, not as accurate as i would like, but im limited in hom much memory i can use for the icons, so there is only 6 on screen. The forth is a weird rotating style, more an experiment than anything, but i'll leave it in there. I might add some more, depends if i think up something i would need for a specific theme. The acceleration etc. are unchangable.

And my personal opinions-
The loading of folders is quite slow, I am just taking a guess, but is it loading the icons and information into the RAM that is causing a slowdown?
Yes, when the a folder is read, all of the icon data is read from the card into RAM, for each icon, sometimes two icons need to be loaded. I keep meaning to see if I can speed it up a little, but I keep forgetting.
One note about folders, I limited DSision to only read 100 files per folder, partly because of the time taken to read the icons, but also I was worried about the limited RAM of the DS.

I love the themeing you can do.
I LOVE how it works with loading roms and homebrew.
I love how the games look like cartridges with the icon on it.
Its a custom-menu!
Thanks
QUOTE(BakuFunn @ Jan 8 2009, 12:58 AM) I am very interested in the skinning possibilities, can you describe, briefly, how much is customizable?
I can do better than that,
here is a copy of the layton skin shown in the videos, have a look.

And one last thing, you said it was compatible with the r4, no? So does this mean the M3 Simply also? I know it is basically a official clone, but it does use different firmware. (Well, MODIFIED firmware)
