DSi XL won't turn on after upper LCD replacement

i have checked the ribbon cable and couldn't find any damage

wifi card is in too

battery + power board are good

wires for one of the speakers broke off but i don't think that matters

please help!!!

Try reseating the cables for the top screen. (for bottom screen too if you had also disconnected that at some point) They are super finicky and if they aren't perfectly inserted you will have issues turning the console on.

If all else fails and it still fails to turn on, plug in the old top screen again. If the console powers up properly again, then you maybe got a defective top screen? Assuming your console was still powering on with the previous broken top screen you were replacing. You didn't mention why you were replacing the top screen. would assume it's cracked or something?

Ok, in order:

• try with the old LCD screen if it boots
• then try with the new LCD loosely outside the shell, to see if the new screen works

If still not booting...

• If you are able to solder, try to put a temporary resistor to make it act as a macro, just to see if it works. Tutorial:
