Hacking DSi xl powers off instead of sleep mode

Everytime i close my dsi xl it turns off.. The back is pretty hot when i have ben using it for awhile.. but i doubt it as anything to do with it.. Anyone else have dis problem, how did u fix it?

It could be a possible contact issue.

I know what he said. I think I've heard around in some discussions that bad contacts can cause the DS to switch off like this.
It was a symptom of my old M3i Zero, both of them. Never tried the paper trick on that though since I gave them away in no time.

Yes,it may be the battery, it turn off on every game after i close it.. not only on the acekard. bit this never happened untili got the acekarrd 2i... and yea... it gets so hot i cant keep my hand on for 15 or so seconds...

I'd send it to Nintendo. It could be a bad battery problem, and not the fault of your cart.


Although you may want a new cart. Who knows what it's doing.

Dude don't double/triple post.

The SD card was shutting your DSi XL off? That doesn't sound right... nor should it happen. I have a SD card in mine, and it doesn't shut off.

And the heat, that's normal. Depending on how hot. I play mine for a couple hours at a time, and the back is usually warm. But SD card shutting off your DSi XL? Might want to get that looked at...

Not the one in my acekard, just the one in the system, i took it out and it had a big dent, after i took it out the ds worked fine

No I know what you mean. I have an SD card in mine, doesn't turn off. I can't see how that dent in the SD card could do something...

But oh well, if you got the problem fixed.
