I don’t know what to do, I have a PSP 3002 V5.03 with Sony 1,2,4,8,16 GB memory cards, P3K hard case , video cradle with remote and Sony 1.3MP Go!Cam, but I don’t like very many PSP games I don’t like third person games I like platform games like Madagascar, Castlevania, do you think I should sell it all and get a DSi XL and a DSTWO Flash card, There seems to be more games I like made for the DSi XL than the PSP

You should switch to DS series (DS Lite/DSi/DSi XL). Simply because DS has far more games compare to PSP. You will run across decent amount of games you like.

I sold my PSP a while ago for that reason, there was not enough good games on the PSP

I say go for it if you like the games on the DS more

My PSP is hacked, I use it for Youtube videos, fast home brew web browser, PS1 games, and PSP games. But as you said, their are not many good PSP games, so you could sell it. DS is amazing and has tons of releases. I could not imagine selling it since it does give me lots of fun, regardless if the DS is better. But I have both right now. I'll sell it when 3DS comes out.. =P

There are some interesting games for the PSP. I suggest... try to find the ones you like and play it until the 3DS hits the market

I´m a Nintendo fanboy.... for me, it will be easy to say "sell that PSPshit and buy a DSi XL!!!!"
but I´ve to recognize that the PSP have great games too!!

In my experience, I've found about an equal number of quality games for the PSP and DS, but the DS has a larger library. Depending on your tastes, you'll probably have better luck with the DS, but they each have a large library of unique games. If you like Castlevania, at least, there are a bunch of similar games for the DS - Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin are two of my favorite Castlevania games, and Order of Ecclesia wasn't bad, either. The DS totally has better support for platformers, as far as I can remember right now.

DS hacking is much easier than PSP hacking, too.

No, just throw it all in the trash, because after all, it's no good right? and you would lose sleep thinking of the loser that bought it having wasted their cash on it too.

Be a man, and just be out of pocket a bit for the Nintendo DSi XL and a decent flashcart.

Ok that was my first thoughts.

But my real opinion is, just buy the damned Nintendo DSi XL and flashcart, and forget selling off your current gear (which you will only lament getting rid of for peanuts later when a game you want suddenly appears).

Unless you are one of those stupid impulsive types that clearly has no real income and is constantly selling off all their stuff in an endless bid to play to death the latest 'thing'. Man I am glad my son isn't an idiot like that.

i have a psp and a ds-lite and my ds-litalways gets way more attention, I thought if i had more memory in it i would play it more so i bought an 8gb and a 16gb micro sd, and combined them with the adapter you get from deal-extreme. Even though i now have about 22gb(real memory), i still manage to not play it at all.

I think another thing that draws me to the ds is the fact that the games are so small and so easy to download, i can download and play any ds game i want within minutes(unless it needs a patch), A psp game can take hours depending on the speed i get, then it takes another 5 minutes to copy, and if i have to patch it another wait and especially if you have plug-ins which can affect some games it takes even longer

So yes the DS is definitely the winner in games and playtime

EDIT: Forgot about upgrading your custom firmware, which requires you to know which version you have and know what the next version is, and if you use the wrong one you get a semi brick(semi because it can be fixed by re-writing the firmware through usb)

And then you have all those flashcarts. Get the wrong (or old) one and you'll never be able to play a new game againQUOTE(ryan90 @ Oct 7 2010, 01:33 PM)

nope.
You can easily recover from a semi-brick from the recovery menu.

but sony´s users cant enjoy that games because they only want to play sports games and first person shotters. That´s way some people says that the PSP lacks a of good library of games.

Ever heard of emulation? SNES, Genesis etc have myriad options for platforming goodness.

I had a PSP and tbh, Didn't enjoy it, PSP does have games, but nothing compared to DS.

I myself have a DSI XL and LOVE IT, the screens are Huge and games look great, Battery life is superb, and I can listen to music if I ever wanted too, I listen to my podcasts on my ds aswell.

I would recommend getting a DSI XL, if you prefer the games on it.

PSP's emulation capabilities far outshine those of the DS.
NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Gear, Gameboy/Color, Gameboy Advance, and even N64.

Portable Star Fox SNES/N64, anybody?
Or the fact that you can play 2/3rds of the main Zelda games on it?

As for native games, that's personal preference.

Agreed. I can do what I want on both them, when it come to emulation, and I prefer playing classic stuff (NES, SNES, Genesis, stuff like that) on the DS, by a long shot. PSP has plenty of fun games, I just use my DS more.
