Gaming DSi XL: Error 0000FE00 after a problem in update

The problem is as follows:
After choosing update firmware, the process was locked at the beginning (maybe 0%, I don't know, the first light of the progress bar was blinking). After more than an hour waiting, the battery dried out and the console was shut down. Now, the console shows error code 0000FE00, possibly caused by an incomplete updating process.
Is there a solution for this machine?

0000FE00 means there was an error when communicating with the NAND. Maybe yours died during the update process or the firmware corrupted. So without a NAND backup and a hardmod I doubt you can do anything.

Maybe a wrong connection with NAND was the original problem and due to this the progress bar was "frozen"...
