Gaming DSi speakers too loud

Hi, I have dsi that has speakers acting up.
It would suddenly become very loud and then go back to normal at some point.

It sounds terrible when playing Elite Beat Agents, it cracks and sounds undistinguishable.
But in other games, it's okay.
The volume controls doesn't seem to respond properly, even if I see on the screen that it is increasing or decreasing...

Anyone wanna give an advise? I would greatly appreciate it.
i plan yo give the dsi to my young nephew in the future, but it has to be fixed first.

Yes. The same problem either way... so I guess not the speakers but but sound software or sound chip problem.
