Hacking DSi speaker vibration

I'm getting some speaker vibration/distortion on the maximum sound setting, whenever I turn the system on or one of the high-pitched DS noises is played in the operating system. In GTA, whenever a car alarm goes off the speakers vibrate so much that I can feel it. Does anybody else have this?

Yeah, it happens to my DSi too, especially when I'm near max volume when I listen to music on DSi sound. I almost always turn down the volume after that because I'm afraid to damage the speakers D:

Thanks for the quick reply, put my mind at ease. I also just tested it out on my Lite, and it happens on that too with some car alarms, although not as much (probably since it's speakers are quieter than the DSi's).

Interesting that this is bought up for the DSi release here in Europe and NA. However, in Japan they don't have this issue.

Really? Is this a known problem with European and NA models?
