What Do You Think Of The DSi Post Like This:
Pros:Larger Screens
DSiWare
System Updates
Cons:Camera Sucks
Only 10 Seconds Recordings
Flashcart Blocks
No GBA
DSiWare Isnt So Great
Worth the Upgrade:Yes

Pros:Has bigger Screens
Louder
Firmware
DsiWare (both posible software exploits)
Better WiFi Connectivitiy Settings
Cons:
Camera Isnt the best
Older games cant use increased Wifi Settings
Firmware(in both- CFW but No Flashcarts)
Worth the Upgrade:Yes, When Better DSi Only Things Come Out!

It would be perfect handheld if DSi mode is unlocked..

lets face it we've already got around the GBA game compatibility with the iPlayer.

Get a GBA Micro and one of the carts for it, they are cheap as hell. The DSi is worth it in pretty much every aspect, the only known flaw with it is that the shoulder buttons can stop working on some of the launch ones, however Nintendo has fixed this issue as I had mine replaced when I sent it in due to a shoulder button not working. They just sent me a brand new one with all the data on it, different serial number and casing as well.

DSi isn't worth the £150 in my opinion, and I have a DSPhat

Cons: No GBA slot
New flashcart needed
Extra features are gimmicky
DS games can't use WPA encryption (seriously, there must have been a way to make it compatible trick the card into thinking it was normal DS hardware)
DSi mode not easily hackable (will consider once this has been done CFW is on the rise and I can just use homebrew with a simple hack)

Pros:
Bigger Screens (but same res)
Faster Clock+More RAM (unavailable to homebrewers atm)

Just because there is no CFW or homebrew channel yet doesn't mean that they haven't obtained dsi mode.

They do have a DSi mode hack it's just really early in the stages. I love my DSi, it's alot better than my DS. The controls are more responsive, you can change the brightness at any time which comes in handy, I actually use the camera, there's some really good dsi ware out there too.

I apologise, I should say "Not fully hacked" or "No easy DSi Mode Hack"
I like my old DSPhat, it's 3 years old and not failed me yet, I cope really easily with the mediocre backlight and prefer the buttons being closer and more clicky (faster to press than the DSL buttons, I hate that thing's DPad)

The DSi has the clicky buttons too.

It appears we require some test of control reponsiveness I propose a race on Mario Kart DS...

Yeah, whatever. I just don't feel its worth the £150 it would cost me. Would rather spend the money on a Dingoo or Rock Band.

Pros:
Better screens
Better wifi
Better sound
Some ok DSiWare

Cons:
Price
Flashcarts not great (yet!)
No GBA
Not enough worthwhile DSiWare
Camera sucks

Worth the upgrade- yes, when they sort the flashcarts, get more good DSiware, and if they can fix GBA completely (although that seems to be coming on well).

Also the main thing I would need is a price drop/more money. At the moment i'm happy with my DS lite.

Pros:
Potential DSiWare
Potential DSiGames
Music playback/filterer
Picture editor. I just love those expression changers.
Wii-like interface and music

Cons:
Not worth the upgrade CURRENTLY (But I sold all of my useless old games to make up for the money)
0.03 Megapixels was hi-tech like 30 years ago.
Firmware stuff.

I'm not gunna post in the suggested format, I just wanted to mentino that, maybe its just me, but I think that the bigger screens are enough to make it worth the upgrade. They seems substantially bigger when compared.

yeah... i upgraded my lite to dsi bec. of the larger screens so i can enjoy KH 358/2 even more wen it comes out.. the speaker is a lot of improvement than the ds lite, the dual cam is ok it isn't that bad, sd card is plus when the dsi is completely hacked, and there's a lot of good dsiware games coming soon...the con is only the short battery life of the dsi.. it is really worth the upgrade!!!

The DSi has some features that make it invaluable for some real world applications.

I am a student and time is in short supply. I can convert the lectures, audio books, and podcasts that I follow and place them on an SD card into the slot provided. The included audio manipulation tools allow me to play back the audio 10 - 15% faster while modifying the tonal qualities so that you do not get the "Mickey Mouse on helium" effect

The free DSi Ware web browser allows me to send/receive email free through Google using a local WiFi hotspot.

The DSi is evolving from a simple gaming device into a personal digital assistant (PDA) with gaming capabilities.

For me, it was definately worth the price to upgrade.
