It was serious, and no, it's just there to keep people from putting a 3DS cart into a DS/Lite/i/XL.

Sawing off the nub is not really necessary. You can make something that bridges the contacts of the 3DS card to the contacts in the NDS card slot.

I do not think so, it will be trying to get the save file off of the ARDSi

I get that Crediar doesn't support the NDS Adaptor Plus, but it at least doesn't mutilate the cartridge. Plus it's a lot more convenient.

There is a lot of DSi flashcarts that run in ds mode on 3DS. No need to cut anything if you use a 3DS.

This might be a bit out of place but has anyone been able to get this utility to actually function? I've modified the dsm.ini file with the correct address but when I load both the nds and ini file ( and yes you need to load the ini file on the same cart because the program specifically asks for it) the program says that it can't find the dsm.ini file and defaults to a pre programmed ip address and then can't connect to the PC running the .exe file... any assistance or thorough guide on the installation and use of this utility would be greatly appreciated...

Does the 3DS send on the same "pins" as the DS does? Now I mean exactly the same in DS or 3DS mode?

I read, but more for the games I think of. I start to wonder if the game signal is encrypted to the 3DS itself.

make sure the dsm.ini is on the root of your card and the .nds is dldi patched if your cart does not have auto-dldi.

That is correct, i forgot this little detail which is very important. Then maybe the NDS Adaptor Plus is the way to go.

or buy a slot 1 for Ds lite solder it with cable on an old DS cart to make an adaptator to use on ds lite without mutilate the 3DS cart

Alright... so placing the ini file in the root of the card solved the location issue but now the program just hangs on Connecting via WFC data... I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do at this point... I connect with a WPA2 protocol to the network and it tested fine... but it still can't seem to connect to my PC despite verifying my IP three times... anyone know of a guide by the coder on troubleshooting this utility?
