Please post if it does.

@topic: Great news, never tried DSx86 before, but now with a SCDS2 version, I sure will.

I'm fairly sure DSx86 is a 286 emulator and Arena is 386.
Furthermore, i think Arena has a system requirement of 16MB of ram.
Also, DS2x86 is Buggy, and missing lots of opcode things. D;

Yeah, didn't work. I was just hopping I would finally be able to play that game on my DS for once

Thanks for the warm welcome to this forum, guys! :-)

Elder Scrolls Arena should be supported at some point, the system requirements do not seem too bad (except that it seems to use 640x480 screen resolution, which will be difficult to fit nicely onto the 256x192 screen). I still have a lot to do with the 386 opcodes before it will run, though.

I am hoping to get back to the two-week release cycle with new and improved versions from now on, but let's see how it goes.

it be good for you to enter the homebrew bounty competition
in the ds2 comptition
and maybe if you can make the DSix86 then you can enter the dsi homebrew competiion

Hmmm, any chance of ZSNES?

I really hope this is a dumb joke and you aren't serious. If you are... *facepalm*

Hoping that a Dos based emulator can run on a dos emulator is a joke? Nope, dead serious. Facepalm away.
Nah, you wouldn't really want this. A native SNES emulator is much faster than an emulator running in another emulator. By looking at the system requirements for ZSNES I guess you won't be happy running it in DS2x86. Apart from this we will have to see if pate can hit the "100% x86-compatibility" (I don't know the current status with his 286-compatibility) that ZSNES needs.

No. Unlike DSx86, DS2x86 is (ok, will be) a 386 emulator and could support 16-20MB of emulated ram. Unfortunately, at this time DS2x86 is even less complete (though faster) than DSx86 (i.e. no Adlib sound emulation, no high resolution screen emulation, no mouse emulation) but yes, it will eventually run Arena, Windows 95 (possibly 98?), and even ZSNES (though zsnes will be unusably slow).

Running no$gba dos would be better than running ZSNES.

You are joking, right? Zsnes needs at least a Pentium 100 (a 233MMX is better) to be even halfway decent and DS2x86 only currently runs at the speed of a 40MHz 386. It might eventually get up to the speed of a 33 to 50mhz 486. Even Nesticle will have problems running on such a limited system. At least Arena, Ultima Underworld, and Ultima 7 will eventually run. Not to mention Castle of the Winds once Windows 3.1 enhanced mode works.

I wonder if we do achieve 486 and Windows 3.1 compatibility how well will Betrayal in Antara will run.. Hmm...

Man, this is some wonderful work. If only the DS had a bigger screen, this would just be perfect

Luckily DSx86 copes with the small screen size pretty well.
