Gaming DS RPGs that are not Final fantasy

Etrian Odyssey 1 and 2 are very fun but very, VERY difficult RPGs.

If you want a real challenge, you'll enjoy them.

They are also very long. They don't say how long you've played, but I think the first one took me about 50-60 hours to get everything, probably longer.

well.. it would be a bit easier if u got the map online..

i gave up half way (like 16/30F) though as it take so long to finish the 1st one.. might try the 2nd sometime later though.

I like the TWEWY. I haven't finished it yet but I've enjoyed it. I like the battles. There are some annoying things about it but they dont make it unplayable.

I dont like the battle system or graphics, oh yeah and the touch screen controls just feel weird . Story is pretty good though

Sonic Chronicles is a lot better than it looks.

To tell you the truth, every Square Enix RPG I have played is completely overrated in my opinion.
And I have played a few of them.

The FF games that are overrated are 4 and 7. 6 is way better than both of them IMO. I even prefer 5 more than 4, and there's not even real characters/story in it.

If you aren't a diehard RPG fan (which I'm sure you aren't, since you haven't played Chrono Trigger) then just wait a few weeks until the ds version comes.

It's cheezy in some ways, but it's that good Cheetos sort of cheezy.

Can't wait to try the sequel.
