Hacking DS Lite store swap ok?

Hey there,
Our DS Lite has given up the ghost after 355 days, just within warranty.

Will a new unit from the store still be compatible with Supercard One or is there a problem with later models and compatibility.

it should work since there hasn't been anyone saying it doesn't work yet
but even if it doesn't work im sure the supercard team will make a new os which will bypass it =)
