I have a DS Lite that dies the second i start it. it appears to have a blown fuse but when i try charging it the orange light stays on. the ds still doesnt turn on but i heard that if the fuse is blown the orange light isnt supposed to stay on. any idea of whats happening? btw the ds still only turns on for a second while its charging so i dont think its the battery. any suggestions?

- If you turn on the DS lite and both screens flash, then it's the top screen that's broken. The DS lite doesn't turn on if it doesn't detect the top screen connected. In that case, you'll need to replace the top screen to fix it.
- If the DS lite doesn't turn on, it's a blown F2 fuse. Regard to this image for its location: http://www.consolezo...-Lite-Fuses.jpg On the left is the F2 fuse. The easiest solution for this is to buy a circuit-board pen from radioshack (costs around $20) and just bridge the fuses with the marker steadily. Otherwise, if you know how to solder, use a solder gun to bridge the F2 fuse, or even safer, buy a replacement F2 fuse and replace it.
Here's a video why it's safer to replace the fuse:
