Hacking ds fire card problem

Hello I a new to all of this and I need help with my ds fire card.

I have watched videos on the pc on what I am supposed to do.

I have got as far as the touch screen and the usb mode to down load my files but there is nothing coming on my PC screen to say that I am linked up.

I have checked the video again and the only difference i see is that when i go on to the first stage my ds says F card instead of fire link.

Can you help me as I am totally lost

Can you slow down your typing? I know you're in a bit of a panicky state...
I'll need to ask a few questions to understand and address your problems - before I can try to help you solve your problems.

So, answer these please:

1. You hook one end of the USB into the computer; the other end into the Firecard.
On your computer, monitor - what happens? Does anything pop up?

2. You've downloaded the installation files and/or the software necessary for the Firecard?

3. What video are you viewing, might I ask?

I assume you're using Windows OS.

So, have you gone to 'My Computer' and seen if there was a disk saying 'FIRECARD' (or something like that.)?

Have you used the mini CD-ROM that was included in the Firecard package?
Download the software from the Firecard website?

Well, you opened up the Firecard in Windows Explorer...and there are no files in it?

If that's the case, drag the ROMs onto the folder. Let them transfer. Then, safely remove your Firecard from your PC and pop it into your DS. Boot your DS up...what happens?

If that's not the case, please go into further detail about your current position.

i have openned the fire card on ds it has now come up with an error message: open xmenu.dat error!

Can you help me please!!!!!!

Hehe, download this file and take the xmenu.dat file and add it to the flashcart from Windows Explorer (the place where you put your ROMs).

Any other problems, let me know.

JPH....FIre card does NOT have software...it is plug and play....

He means the Xmenu/Udisk/FW, which is close enough. Please don't bump a topic just to be an idiot, especially if you're going to try showing up a staff member.
