I'm interested in DSReader, but the books I find I am not interested in and will never be interested in them.

I'm mainly looking for:
Twilight Saga
Inkheart Trilogy
Harry Potter Series
Inheritance Trilogy (Eragon and the like)
The Seventh Tower Series
Redwall Series
Maximum Ride Series

I'm finding things that are very uninteresting, like To Kill a Mockingbird and such.... It probably doesn't help that i'm looking for everything to get them FOR FREE.

What do I do about this?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, is it possible to use fanfiction stories for this e-book thing?
What do I have to do to get fanfiction stories in the DSReader format?

It's because most of those books are copyrighted.

Check Gutenberg.org for free e-books. It tells you if the books are copyrighted in the US. I'm about to get "Leviathan" by Thomas Hobbes.
Uh... Gutenberg.org doesn't have books I want....

In my brain, if I used one second to read any of those books in the top 100 on that page, it would be a waste.

I found the Twilight saga, but they're all in HTML format.

How would i convert that to whatever format is used by the DSReader?

EDIT: I only ask this question because you know it's gotta be some funky effed up format like videos are in or something.

Way to be open to the classics.

I don't like classics except for Frankenstein, Dracula, and those books wrote by Homer. And I didn't see those before I went googling for ebooks again.

Maybe some people don't like the classics. Doesn't make them a bad person.

Help on this would be great.
Help on this kind of question for fanfiction stories would be great too.

No, of course not. But one must at least try something in order to not like it.

I don't think it's really possible to convert HTML to, say...PDF or whatever. HTML is a webpage, not an actual reading document...(usually)

And it has to be all on one page? XD

I'm not familiar with e-book format and that'll be a freakin nuisance when i try to make e-books out of fanfiction stories because fanfiction loads so slowly on my comp..... XD

How do you convert .pdf to .txt?
Can't you just copy and paste the text into the .txt? It's not like there are any pictures are there? A .txt is going to lose all the formatting a .pdf has anyways.
Previous .pdf files i've seen don't allow highlighting.

That's probably why it didn't work for me. It had pictures lol.

Anyway, do the best you can with the copy/paste method. It's going to be annoying cutting and pasting an entire book, but hey, at least you get it for free.

Didn't think you would reply so fast... Anyways, my previous post was edited with the link for "supposedly free" converters. I don't know if they're gonna put trials or anything and I'm not going to be held responsible for what you download though.

To be nice, here's the google linky again: http://www.google.com/search?q=pdf+to+txt+...lient=firefox-a

Try to google for yourself next time.

EDIT: Wait a minute, the Adobe PDF reader has its OWN "pdf to txt" converter. If you do not have this feature, then you are on an old version of the Adobe Reader. Just open your .pdf file, and File>Save as Text.

Offtopic: Yeah, it's a Haruhi Light Novel.

Thanks for that hint! I would never have noticed that. LOL I did use a PDF to txt converter but it gave me freaky symbols everywhere in the document except for the places that were like the table of contents and stuff.
