Wow, four new games in a minute. Now to wait for them to become available. This game looks pretty interesting, but "Action" doesn't exactly explain what this game's like.

QUOTE(Hadrian @ Oct 2 2008, 02:42 PM) Prey The Stars

Region North America Genre: Puzzle Action
Developer: Koei Canada Publisher: Koei

This game was featured on the very first release thread I did back in early 2007, and its finally coming out!

This is for people who loved Katamari Damashi, and want more fun, silly puzzle action. The premise is simple: You're a little dog with a big appetite. His goal is to be the biggest dog ever, and he'll achieve that by eating everything in a level - from small meals to big buildings.

The Japanese release played alright, nothing amazing but there is fun to be had from this game. This was meant to be released last week in Europe and then was push back again...come on Koei, just release the damn game.

Know what else Koei is going to churn out this month? Persona 3: FES for Europe. It always seems to take them a long time to do anything :/.

Yeah. I'm finishing up the great releases in Sept and now looking towards Oct. November will have lots of awesome releases including CT remake, port, whatever it is. I still gotta look around for this and download it.

Hmm this looks fun....
Out of curiosity... is there any difference between Eur and USA releases... maybe some slang or how they phrase some dialog?
Some dia-what?

In the English, there probably isn't. NO games come to mind that use different English variants for different regions and I certainly take note of this. If it's a non-Japanese/non-European production, it'll most likely stay in English for the subsequent releases but if it's Jap./Ameri-made; it'll stay in American for the non J/A releases.

How come this isn't more popular? Its one of my most anticipated games of the season.

Because it's not actually available yet to play.

It isn't? Guess I'd better turn it off then

Yeah, I guess so, since we're only up to Zubo so far.

Who's we? Are you assuming if wherever you get your roms from doesn't have this game yet that no-one anywhere has it?

EDIT: Any road, this is much easier with an English tutorial - I'd never have worked out the breath attack. Still doesn't seem much to it though, is it literally just running around eating stuff faster than the CPU? Seems a bit more like Hungry Hungry Hippos than Katamari.

Yay! Not sure what to expect, but it looks like a cute bit of fun. That said, I'm about 20 games behind. There are so many to catch up with from just the last month alone. Dang!

I'm glad this is finally out. Been looking forward to it for quite a while. And yeah, there are a ton of games I've got to catch up on. I love this time of year.

It doesn't tell you explicitly, it says something like "You can also attack with your breath, but you'll have to work out how for yourself" You blow into the mic and some green crap comes out your mouth.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
