There is a hack for the USA release but it made the game worse.

No English in this version, and also it hasn't pre'd yet nor been spread around anywhere.
You should see it pop up sometime soon.

On another note, I really enjoyed the US version I bought.
Worth every dollar!

Can't wait for the DS sequel!

no way dutch people will be playing in german.
EDIT:i don't trust this release.
a EU release without english, and with (according to the nfo) german french italian and french?(yes, 2x french)

Glad I pre-ordered the USA one here in holland @ the local game store.
Already have it for some weeks, and it's English. (could have just bought it for the hardware tho, flashcards ftw!)

On the European version, which also adds the following 4 songs:
Héroes de Silencio - Avalancha
Mademoiselle K - Ça Me Vexe
Beatsteaks - Monster
Tokio Hotel - Monsoon
This version, however, loses the songs by Rick Springfield, Los Lonely Boys, Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller, and DAUGHTRY

4 different songs for this localization? count me in! Having a GH portable game gets me though the day when I can't be in front of a console. So they removed 5 U.S. songs and only replaced them with 4 different songs? Does anyone know if the packaging correctly/incorrectly states the total song count?

not untill someone makes a patch/cheats for this one too.
i believe part of the songdata is stored in the arm9.bin, so the US patch won't work.
the cheats might work, but you need a different game code.

there is a code whit AR for disable the guitar grip

Just like the US version

Cracked the no guitar grip in less than 10 minutes. (Note below codes are copy/pastes with appropiate modifications for European region.)

(And finally, if you wish to be doing some cheat searches, you are going to need to be able to manipulate the values some other way than the guitar grip buttons you don't have anymore. (And you don't want these buttons activating your star power either.))
