An english one won't be coming out anytime soon. Shippuden isn't out in english yet.

I suppose "Shinobi Retsuden" roughly translates to something like "milking the cash cow"

Haven't played it yet, but what bothers me in the videos is the crap they put in the bottom screen. Don't they have any idea how annoying it is to touch buttons while you're using regular controls? It's almost as if someone is holding a gun to the developers' heads telling them to "add touch functionality... or else".

It's a fighting game, so you should be able to play it without knowing japanese..

The first game was not very good.. wonder how this is..

Having seen a trailer of this game a while back, this game seems to be using the same engine as ninja scroll (?) with improved framerate and celshading. In fact, I would not be surprised if they just swapped clothes and released as shipuuden game.

Games pretty good so far. Its using the same graphics and frame rate from the US/EUR Naruto Ninja Destiny which wasn't bad. With 32 characters to boot.
