Other than the fact that the characters are ridiculous, it's not too bad of a game.

DSI title ? DSI didn't have anything to do with it, at least not for the European release. It's developed by Sanuk Software and published by BigBen Interactive/Neko Entertainment. On a side note they actually showed it to Koji Igarashi a while ago, he recommended they keep trying and gave advice about how to make the whip and guns better lol.

It's actually sorta like a cross between Ghosts & Goblins and Castlevania. Despite the silly characters, it's a pretty solid platformer.

I'd say it's at least worth a look before passing judgment.

The Ghosts & Goblins bit is about right; it's certainly not an easy game.

Graphics are ok but gameplay is a bit repetitive.... for the file size its a keeper though.

I really enjoy this game, harks back to the old school NES & Amiga games. If you like old Mega Man & Castlevania (when it was linear) titles then give this a try.

Gets too easy after you collect the HP thing which uses the blue hearts to add health to you.

Story is good, quite funny too "This is not a time for bread!" is a future classic videogame quote. Thought it was funny when the pig said something like "Oh no my son is dead, my heir! I'll make some more, where is my wife?"

I'd give this 7 out of 10.

The game was named Hogs Of War. I think we played that game (not regularly, though) for 3 years after it was out. IMO it was not that good but was a good entertainment with friends. Anyway, you're right, it reminds me that game a lot too.
